The 2nd Annual Sculpted Basket Projects Basket making and Crafts Workshop is scheduled to hold from Friday, 1st to Saturday 2nd of May 2009. The workshop has been moved to the grassroots in order to harness fully the potents of indigenous crafts. The venue is st. Mary's Catholic Church Premises, Ukehe. We will gladly welcome and provide accommodation for out-of-town participants. Each session begins by 10 am daily. Part of the targets for this year's workshop is to discover more dying crafts which can be re-innovated for this endangered generations environmental and artistic landscapes. The maiden workshop set the tone for a greater emphasis on the grassroots. However, the exhibition which usually follows and which was proposed for this year's earthday will eventually hold in the main Nsukka town.

2009 sculpted basket workshops
The 2009 Sculpted Basket workshops will hold in the 2nd quarter of the year and it promises to be a better experience from the last one. We plan to involve more women and children. Last years own had only male crafts people and the few women who sculpted baskets were in the hinterland and could not make it to the workshop.
We also plan to involve more contemporary people in what we are doing.
The dates and times for the workshop will be announced subsequently.
